Various Voices London 2009 needs your financial support to realise its
ambitious artistic and community vision.
Our artistic partner, the Southbank Centre, is already providing
significant support in-kind through the free use of its site over the
four days of the event. We need to raise an additional £600,000 to
make the festival happen.
Even though we expect about half of what we need from registration fees
from choirs and individual singers and from the sale of tickets,
programmes and merchandising, your help is vital!
By making a donation to Various Voices London 2009, you will make it
possible for a fantastic LGBT event take London by storm at the
beginning of May 2009. Over four days, choirs from all over Europe
and North America will rehearse and work together — and
perform in one of the world's greatest venues in front of an
enthusiastic and diverse audience. With workshops and courses as
well as performance opportunities, Various Voices London 2009 will
be an exciting celebration of amateur choral singing.
In providing a prominent showcase for LGBT groups and cultures, we
believe that we can change attitudes and promote the values of a
genuinely multicultural and inclusive capital.
